Life Beyond Moodle

Description

Most faculty — especially once we return to campus — use Moodle for one way communication to students. So why not take that content outside Moodle where it can be presented in a way that is more organized and visually appealing.

Join us to learn about how WordPress and Pressbooks can serve your needs better! WordPress is one of the most popular open-source content management systems and Pressbooks is based on WordPress. The most important reason is TRU hosts WordPress and Pressbooks for you, so it is free and complies with BC and Canada’s privacy laws!

We will also talk about how to use these tools for authentic and alternative assessments for your students, and how WordPress might be a good fit for your professional needs (research dissemination, teaching portfolios, and more!).
